Ridin'

Dug out my bicycle yesterday and, after a little bit of fiddling to get it into working order again, took a quick ride today. Aside from the obvious exercise benefits, I'd forgotten how much fun that can be.

But that seat's going to be a problem. Gonna have to get a cushier one.

Week 10-and-a-half

Previous Weight: 324 lbs
Current Weight: 321 lbs
Change: 3 lbs lost
Total: 39 lbs lost

I had an official weigh-in at the gym today. Figured I may as well post it, since I feel really good about this one. And it's not just the 3lbs-in-3-days thing. When I started working with the trainer, we set a short-term goal of 20 lbs in 10 weeks. With this weigh-in, we hit that goal (well, almost: 19 lbs) in just 5.

Also: I got a new scale. Mechanical instead of digital, so hopefully it'll be a bit more accurate.

Training

Training session #3 was this morning. Now that I'm getting used to the whole early-to-bed, early-to-rise thing, I kinda like getting my workout done first thing in the morning. I start the day feeling like I've accomplished something, and that carries me through the afternoon better than caffeine ever did. Plus, I can watch TV guilt-free in the evenings, since my exercise is already out of the way.

Plus, we worked on my legs again today, and they aren't nearly as sore as they were after last week's session.

So I joined a gym

No, seriously. There is no punchline.

I'm going to be working with a personal trainer, my first session is tomorrow at 9am.
